One of the things the SAR World team is missing is someone like a graphic designer; someone to knock up a logo and that sort of thing. (Any volunteers, please let us know!)
But it did get me thinking - around the SAR community there must be thousands of people with jobs / skills that are probably highly regarded within their own Unit (or maybe not), but unknown and unused by the rest of the SAR world. Wouldn't it be great if there was a list/directory of these people who were willing to work for free (or expenses only) for other teams putting their specialised skills or knowledge to better use.
I'm not thinking so much about SAR; although a good SAR instructor, first aid trainer, water safety trainer and so on would be useful to everyone. I'm thinking more about the bookkeepers, the mechanics, the graphic designers, PR guys and girls and so on.
So if you have a talent that you are willing to share (again, please note for FREE or expenses only!) then let the SAR World know. Post your details / skills here and let people contact you through the forum.
